GEO Legislative Action Workshop at IGSHPA

Reaffirming positive relationships for common goals to promote and expand the geothermal heat pump industry, GEO President and CEO Douglas Dougherty met with IGSHPA Executive Director Dr. Jim Bose (left) on July 28 in his office at Stillwater, OK. The following day, the GEO Board of Directors and staff convened a Legislative Strategy Retreat in Oklahoma City.The Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO) will present its annual Legislative Action Workshop (LAW) on the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 6 during the 2011 International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) Technical Conference and Expo in Tulsa, OK. The workshop is open to all IGSHPA registrants. It will offer insights into the legislative process, bills that are important to the industry, and valuable tips on making your voice heard “On the Hill” in Washington, DC and to state governments.

During the Opening Session on the same day, GEO President and CEO Douglas Dougherty will take the stage as a Keynote Speaker, discussing association strategies to knocking down barriers to industry expansion. GEO will provide information about membership opportunities throughout the IGSHPA Conference on Oct. 5-6 from its Expo booth (#405).
