I have had a WaterFurnace Geo System installed for a while. All of a sudden while trying to cool (ambient temp 72 set temp 68) the red low press/Comp light is flashing. Inside Comfort Aire diagnostics is flashing 6 times - seems to indicate "Open Start Circuit". Power cycling did not solve the problem. Any suggestions on what might be wrong and how to test/fix/

If loop water flow is confirmed within acceptable range you may need a refrigeration / HVAC tech to check system charge, subcool, and superheat.

Do you think it might be a capacitor problem

This lockout indicator is not only for low pressure. It may be tripped by a compressor fault by the Confort Alert module.

Normal procedure is to check the code off the Comfort Alert before suspecting a refrigerant charge issue. The Comfort Alert monitors amperage draw and low voltage control signals to determine if it should lockout under many certain conditions.

Yes, it can be tripped by a bad capacitor among other things.

Fair point - have the cap checked.
