I have 2 miami gshp, 2.5 ton and 3 ton two stage. I have had minor issues over the last few years after installation (new construction, all diy). For the most part everything works fine. Had a lock out issue in heating that i'm still not sure what happened. In cooling runs fine. Putting it back in heating, seems to run fine now, stuck valve, maybe? The only thing i really noticed was that in heating mode the cold freon is entering the exchanger on the water inlet side. Everything I see online says it needs to be opposite. Cooling, the liquids flow same direction, heating the freon reverses. Is this correct? Heard back from the manufacturer and they confirmed it is backwards. Hopefully this caused the lockout!
