Georgia Water Furnace won't start

    I have a Water Furnace Premier 3 ton unit that won't kick on. Everything else seems to be working okay (thermostat, air handler, water flow, etc.). Every 50 seconds the unit tries to start, but doesn't actually start. See the following video which demonstrates the problem. Be sure to listen with the sound on. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Failed compressor start/run capacitor? Or failed compressor motor? A failed start/run capacitor can usually be diagnosed with just a visual inspection (top of the can will usually bulge outward or show evidence of dielectric fluid leakage) or can be checked with a meter that has a capacitance check function. They are inexpensive, so a trial replacement with a new correct size capacitor may be justified if you don't have the correct meter to test it.
