I have a water-to-water geo unit, and the load loop runs water through a one inch pipe. I was thirsty the other day, and the main water to my house was shut off, so I opened the boiler drain and filled my coffee cup.
Man, after drinking that I almost tossed my cookies! That water in that loop stinks to high heaven. What do others do? Should I put fresh water in that loop each month??

That is not considered potable water. Should have used your water heater drain, that way you could have flushed out the sediment. :p

Laughter is the best medicine. This is an old saying, and it is used for a good reason. Many studies on laughter and its benefits to health have been made.

Just trying to brighten your day and make the work go easier ...
