Question: How long does it take a ground loop to reach its maximum or minimum design EWT when the heat pump is running at maximum capacity? I know the answer depends somewhat on the climate and time of year, but assume a typical residence in the Mid-Atlantic area near the end of the season. To put this question into its context, I am curious as to how to design a residential system. Do you design to the building loads, or to the installed heat pump capacity? Chris
