This is what I have two wells, domestic water. GSHP uses water from the main well and discharges the water down a older well on the property. I bought the house set up this way ten years ago. This last summer on long cool cycles 6GPM going down the 2 well, the well started to over flow. So I tuned the water on to the lawn. Bought a 2 gallons of bleach dumped it down the well, helped but the water still rises 4-5 feet from top of discharge well. Winter on the way I was think about trenching a line back to the Main well and put 50% of the water back to it. What do you think? Thanks Josh
Some more well specifics could help out more. Age, cased or uncased, depth, screen and diameter? The concepts could work if some specifics allow it. I would be leaning towards rehabbing the existing return well to correct the problem rather than trying to rig up a solution to a known problem.
Thanks I'am calling the department of ecology on my water well log report. The house was built in 1958 and the wells look old. Both have 6 inch steel casing. The main well #1 I know the pump is 120 feet down, had to replace the wire about 4 years ago. I will get some more info on the wells. What is rehabbing a well require? Thanks Josh
