Thermal Conductivity in Ground Water

    I am modeling my first closed loop and can't find any conductivity and diffusivity numbers for soils in ground water. Ground water at the proposed location is only 3 feet down. The test well for verticle bore showed all silty/clay. I am sure it must be better than the .98tc shown on the chart for 30% moisture content silt/clay. -or- Am I wrong?

    Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Documentation would be appreciated.

    doing the modelling is not an exact science in relation to soils. Rarely is the entire bore one soil type or the same tc. You have to come up with a tc number based on your "best" analysis of the soil types presented. If there was no thermal conductivity test done with the test bore, I would advise leaning toward the conservative side in regaed to tc.
