x2 Richard. Looks like an equipment ripout and replace to me.
The conclusion to the saga is here-
Happy Thanksgiving and the start of my testimonial thread!
Thanks for that link, but it doesn't say what happened. It is clear they switched to a different installer, reworked/replaced equipment. But who paid for it? and what happened to the 1st installer - did he provide restitution?
Richard, You are correct in the things you say are clear. I am very happy with the outcome, and happily did not have to invest any more money. As is often the case with these kinds of things, that's all I can share.
I figured there might have been some sort of settlement, and one of the terms was non-disclosure. Congratulations, and I'm glad everything turned out OK. I'm sure it was quite an ordeal for you.
As with all residential building projects, it is so hard to get a contractor that can actually perform. And the process is traumatic - even when it goes ok. So I can't imagine having it not go ok, and be drawn out so long before resolution.
I must say, I really like watching the performance of all the geo systems on Wel.
