Hi, I am currently excavating my property for a new construction build. My builder wants to rough in the driveway, and is not keen on trenching through it later when boreholes go in this summer. He would rather dig a partial trench now and lay two PVC sleeves under the driveway. Then, when our geothermal contractor installs later, they should be able to push the HDPE through the sleeves and make the connections between the boreholes and house. Are there any risks to this that I am not seeing? Perhaps if ground water flooded the pvc enclosure, then it could lead to greater stress on the HDPE? Is there any precedent here?
