    Your fine!
Now grout and the bore and be done with it!
Your gonna look at that gauge the rest of your life and wonder if it's leaking until you come to peace with yourself and realize its good enough( with or without. 0.5 psi drop over 3 days).

Yes, it is most likely fine. Yesterday it was at 60 psi again ... today at 59 psi - have never known a leak to go backwards. So it must just be a "Bipolar" pipe ... drop in a couple Prozac and all will be well.

Again, thank you all for your posts. Never worked with this type of pipe/application before so was surprised.

if you have the time and interest, let a small amount of water out of you loop, like 1 cup, and see how much the pressure drops.

Will leave it alone for the next few days.

However, when first working with it, I was surprised how only a little water (1 pint) dropped the pressure in half. Can't remember the exact amounts or pressures, mainly just the impression that it is really stiff pipe.

Do you have something specific in mind?

I just wanted you to see how little water it takes to drop the pressure a lot.

So that you could quit stressing about a leak :D

Actually, that is kind of you. Always been a 'self-made-man' but am stressy (it goes with the job ) Am sure that some professionals here have mused, "Thank god he isn't my customer!", lol.

But am enjoying the things to learn on this forum. Geothermal heating is a simple concept but there are always lots of details to ensure a successful/trouble free system.

Well, its been 4 weeks and the pressure is down to 55 psi

so are you feeling OK about this or is it keeping you awake at nights?:D:D

Can't bother to loose sleep over it (there are plenty of other things for that ).

A month for a new pipe to drop from 60 psi to 55 psi seems unlikely to be an actual leak. Probably streatch. Doubt temp changes would be affect an unused, deeply buried pipe.

Do have an unrealted question. Would like to put a temperature gauge on each line (4). These are normally around $15 but have poor range (32-250).

Does anyone know of decent (but not expensive) mechanical gauges to use? Internet searching give too many millions of hits.
