I plan to use 3/4" PEX tubing for my horizontal ground loop. PEX tubing comes in three different versions, PEX A, B, or C. Which version should I use? For heating applications, they recommend Oxygen barrier PEX tubing. Is this necessary for ground loops?
You can look up the detailed specs in the IGSHPA design guide, but it mentions using either PEXa or HDPE. As far as I know, HDPE pipe is the industry standard for ground loops and PEX is rarely used.
