Hi All, I am new to this forum - and to this technology. I am excited and scared at the same time. I am hoping that the home that was purchased in the East Gwillimbury area will work well for our family. I have done a lot of reading, and am proud to be a tech - although not in this discipline. (I am electrical) I am OK with printed circuit boards, fans, motors etc, but am not familiar with the HVAC portion of the system. From my understanding I have a 3 Ton Climate Master Tranquility 27 System outfitted in a 80's wooden home, along with approximately 300' geo-bed as described by the original owner. It is closed loop, under a field. Model Number - TTV038AGC01ALKS I have several questions, but I will start with something short - How do I transition from using the system as AC to Heat - other than changing the NextEnergy Thermostat from Cool to Heat? Due to the wide variation of temperatures that we are experiencing, should I hold off changing until Nov 1st, for example - or what is best practice? I was thinking of having a reputable company come in for an initial consultation, possibly for Startup maintenance, etc, and have several documents produced by the original installation - Yanch Geothermal - whom was purchased by Reliance. Thanks for reading, I hope to stay here for a long time!
On a fully functioning, properly installed/designed system - just switch as per your comfort level. No special considerations required.
It's just like a regular heat pump except there is no outside unit and more plumbing. If you ever run into problems, it could mean a larger bill
