I'm looking for a quality Long Island installer. Obviously someone qualified to engineer, design & install is my #1 priority. I heard too many horror stories about poorly functioning systems. Thank you,
I am on Long Island. While I can not recommend my installer (they're out of business anyway), I would recommend contacting Temp-Art Mechanical. If you read enough in forums like this one, you will repeatedly hear of the importance of the installer. The president of this company didn't know me from Adam, yet personally spent a January day in my attic (the same day I called him) to help me get my aux heat strip installed. Also pulled an employee from vacation to assist. They sent a tech to complete the call 2 days later and he too was very knowledgeable and professional. I haven't seen any of their installs, but to me they're a company that cares.
Contact Long Island geothermal association. http://www.li-geo.org They know the good, the bad and the ugly.
