    ROFLMAO!!!!
I stood on the side of route 1 yesterday afternoon and watched a police chase in progress, in shorts! It was in the high 50's. How many holes are you doing there, and for what? We are mobilizeing into the national gaurd training facility Monday for a 24 hole job.

    That's a nice winter job!
Good job on keeping the site clean too.

The clean factor is the only thing I envy, sonic vs. mud rotary.

Oddly enough, we are not using the Sonic on this job. The formation is black shale and Sonic turns it to mush. A PDC bit cuts it just fine, we can get to 300' in 2.5 hours.

I would be very interested to know what strategy you implemented doing mud rotary to get a field looking like that? Can you share?

I don't think we have any big secret, we just shovel out the cuttings. There is some slope to the site so the drilling fluid runs away. We are just pumping straight water, not using any gel. Call me if you want more info.

loops are 1" x 300' deep, So are you using a 1/2 inch drill rod for your 1 inch holes?

Well I am thinking I do not know the difference, I was just having fun thinking you were talking about 1 foot bore holes but used the " for foot by mistake. You have to excuse my ignorance I am a open looper! Looks like a real large install you are working on, do you often do jobs of that size?

    Hi hardchines,

We drill a 5" borehole and install 1" loops which consists of two 1" pipes connected on the bottom with a ubend .
