This document is in response to a Geothermal Heat Pump Consortium (GEO) request for proposals, RFP 07-08-2011 #3 – Development of Job Descriptions for Personnel in GHP Systems. As clearly stated in the title, this project is to develop job descriptions for all primary personnel involved in the design and installation of geothermal heat pump (GHP) systems. This includes but is not limited to drillers; Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration specialists; engineers; and inspector/regulators. The goal is to define each job and to provide a consistent basis for developing training and certification programs to help reduce the potential for improperly installed systems, and assure product quality and performance. I can do. When I can not do I will teach. I know what I know and no trade association can ever take that from me.
