I paid $20 a foot for closed loops here on Long Island, NY last fall.

Yes, drilling, grouting with bentonite, bringing the pipes into the house and pressurizing them.

Is that 3 bores of 500' depth or 3 bores at 250' depth (500' of tube per 250' bore)?

Bores cost ~10 per foot here in FL.

    Expensive

I'm from western Canada, which means 98% of the US is closer to you than me, but that seems expensive. If you are truly doing your own trenching and they are just putting in pipe.

    To switch over..
    -size ground loop
    - size circulating pump
    - dig trenches
    - install piping
    - build header
    - pressure test
    - add antifreeze, purge, pressurize
    - day of interior plumbing
    - backfill to grade

Should get all of that for the $ you mentioned.
