I keep reading that a geo unit actually produces more heat/cooling than the electricity it uses so the COP exceeds 100% by a lot. I have read they can produce a COP of 2.5 (250%) and I've read as much as 400%. This figure makes a HUGE difference in computing the actual economic wisdom of switching to geothermal heat/cooling. How do I get accurate information on what a particular unit will deliver to me? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
