I keep reading that a geo unit actually produces more heat/cooling than the electricity it uses so the COP exceeds 100% by a lot. I have read they can produce a COP of 2.5 (250%) and I've read as much as 400%. This figure makes a HUGE difference in computing the actual economic wisdom of switching to geothermal heat/cooling.
How do I get accurate information on what a particular unit will deliver to me? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

go to the unit manufacturer's website and download their product specifications. The operating parameters are all in that document(s). I've downloaded the info for waterfurnace. I presume you can do it for any brand/manufacturer.
