Hello, I am getting quotes on my new property in Tampa, Florida. I have a nice canal very close in my back yard. I have one quote from water furnace for a 2 ton unit series 7 at $44,000. The same company quotes the series 5 at $32,000. I desired to contact a York dealer with Geothermal and their quote is at $23,000. The dealer says that the product is made by water furnace. I am shocked with the difference in price. Anyone have knowledge why? Also, any knowledge about the York geothermal product? Thanks,
There is no 2 ton series 7. 3, 4 and 5 ton is all they have. I think York sells rebranded Waterfurnace
How about geocool? Are they good units? Also, I have been in my canal and it is 85 inches deep and the temp at the hottest part of the day is 85 degrees of course this is the hottest time of year. Will the pond loop work for me? Do slim Jim’s work? Also there is a geocool website based out of Georgia and he has a copper heat exchanger that he says is superior in performance to other methods in a pond loop. Any info would be appreciated
