My Waterfurace Premier model is @ 9 years old and has been running fine. I notice that my single loop pump, a Grundfos Geolink UP 26-116F, seems to run hot to the touch. I recall that the casing always tended to warm up especially when the pump runs for some time but it just seems hotter than in the past. Do these pumps tend to run hotter as the age? Is this normal?

Most places are enjoying record high temps right now meaning the brine in your loops is hotter than ever before meaning your pump will be hotter.

I noticed this too and am glad you ask the question!

Zinger, have you had to do any maintenance to your unit or loop since it has been installed?

    Zinger maintenance

Hey Jamesck I have had a blown fuse in the past which needed to be replaced and my low PH water caused a leak in the tubing to my hot water heater but both issues pretty minor. My system has been running great since I installed it (knock on wood). I have my contractor come out about every 18 mos for a check up.
