Well, I drilled and installed my loops in early fall of 2009. I thought I'd have enough money to buy the rest of my equipment for the installation, but the economy made me tighten budgets... Anyway, I'm excited and happy to say I finished the install in early Nov. 2010. I can't believe how comfortable it is! I had a 2-stage gas furnace--one that is supposed to make it more comfortable than a regular single-stage furnace. Maybe it was, but the EarthLinked geothermal is SO much more comfortable! I'll be installing a sub-meter soon so I can track the usage data. Maybe I'll even look at getting a WEL like Dewayne has... we'll see. Bottom line: Geothermal is definitely worth the investment for the COMFORT! Oh, and it has great savings, too. I've been doing geothermal for almost 16 years. I'm excited to finally be able to say I have it in my own home!
