We just purchased our new home and it has a 13 year old ECONAIR closed loop system. We have had to add Freon twice this winter once in early Feb; again early April; but can’t find a leak, so I’m assuming it is in the coil system. Does anyone know: 1) can I get a replacement coil for an ECONAIR system? 2) is it worth messing with or should the system be replaced? It is a “GeoSource Varna 2 Plus Heat Pump” Model #: GV581-1-VOCO Thanks in advance.
I wasted $5000 chasing freon leaks in my 7 year old system. Ended up replacing it. I say, replace it.
