I need to disinfect my shared well on my open loop system. Will running the chlorine solution through my geothermal unit cause any issues? Should I turn off the geothermal till the chlorine is cleared?
I would not run it through the Geo unit. When you get chlorine strong enough it works like acid. When disinfecting a well it is best to pump it out on the ground and not go through the house plumbing at all.
