Anybody use a digital pressure gauge as a service tool?

I get tired of frozen gauges, inaccurate readings, poor scalings on non-pressurized systems, etc... so looking to see if I can put together a relatively robust digital pressure gauge.

I know of the expensive pressure gauges, but they are generally designed to be mounted permanently.

I know of digital tire pressure gauges, but they are generally designed for air.

So has someone figured out this path already and can make a recommendation?

I second that Dwyer makes good equipment and most gauges are made in usa. They have a number of different ranges available from 0-15 to 0-500 PSI.

    Thanks.

And bloody hell do I go through needles for some reason. Expensive needles.

But I may have found a solution with an adapter for standard (re: cheap) air needles to 1/4NPT thread.

Don't forget to order the rubber guard for the gauge.
