Hi guys After fighting with my te064 all winter now it looks like I get to fight with it in AC mode as well. Im having pressure problems. I cleaned the sediment filter. The unit starts to go and then gets louder and louder and then turns off. Once I got an e2 pressure error but mostly it just doesn't starts and then stops - although it's been working fine for a few weeks. I talked to an ac guy and he said they've been finding the climate master valve isn't opening fast enough in ac mode. He said I should set it to stay open a minimum amount. He said something like min of 30 and max of 90. Ok. I know the thermostat pretty well. However check this out. It almost seems like the settings are reset or something. I couldn't find the pump configuration panel to save my sould. I then read that the pump config doesn't show up if the loop config is set to Other. Sure enough, mine was set to other. HOwever this is where it's weird. The delta t settings are in pump config panel. I changed the delta t configs over the winder so I HAD to be in that panel. I sure as hell didn't change anything else, especially not the system config loop config. QUESTIONS #1 What should my loop config be? I have a closed well loop. I would guess that means I should set o Modulating Valve. Or would it be Modulating Valve with Min? Whats the difference? I can't find a Min option. This shounds like what my hvac guy said I should be looking for but I can't find any place to do a min setting. Anyway - I want to start with question 1. What should my loop config me? The presssure error also said the problem might be that the system is over charged. One thing at a time. Any help appreciated. thx
Definately sounds like low water flow. Why is the installer not handling this. "a closed well loop" what is that? A standing column well? that is considered "open loop" in which case yes you should be set on modulating valve.
Hi Joe - I have a standing column well. I was wondering, is it possible that the thermostat could get an electrical spike or something and reset itself? I had the problem on a Saturday. I called me guy and I could have had him come over but I said I'd try to fix it and call him in on Monday if I couldn't get it fixed. Seems like switching it over to Modulating Valve did the trick. I just can't figure out how it ever changed FROM modulating valve. thx
We had an electric storm go through about 2 weeks ago. Lightening either hit the house or close to it. The neighbors called to say they say it hit and thought it got our house. It knocked out our Comcast by melting a splitter in the line. Maybe some of that juice got to the thermostat and reset it?
