I have a CM Tranquility 22 recently installed this summer. Before this fall/winter I killed the breaker on the aux heat to prevent it from running at all. Last night was coldest night of the year so far, and the thermostat was set to 69 but woke to a 64 degree house. Thermostat said it was running in stage 1 with aux heat, but obviously aux heat is not available. Can I tell the thermostat that aux heat isn't available so it will use only the geo stage 1 and stage 2 to heat the house? Or is there some detrimental effect of running in stage 2 vs. aux/electric heat?
