had a customer somehow input a pin # to lockout their thermostat and forgot/lost the pin number. I went there today figuring I could access using the dealer key, shut down power and restart or pull the stat from the wall and reset. None of the above worked, all functions totally locked, anyone know how to do a hard reset on the thermostat when all the buttons are locked asking for the pin #? Thanks
Did you pull the battery first? PC's may take a day to "forget" a password. I'm not sure about a thermostat.
Replicated the situation at the shop. 6666 is the code if lockout feature is enabled and customer forgot password. Also, we let the stat sit for 24 hours and it seemed to erase also.
