We are currently doing commissioning to a system in Naples,FL. The system has been in place for about 3 years but the performance is not the best. We are considering there has not been the correct maintenance, and one of the options is algal growth. Does anybody know what is the best protocol for maintenance on well checkup? how often?, when?, how?, by whom? more details.... Thanks.

What are the symptoms that suggest underperformance?

it is a well loop connected to a heat exchanger also connected to a closed loop with 5 different buildings. We are looking for a maintenance plan to prevent algal growth in the open well loop specially. We have not got any problems in specific to algal growth but we would like to prevent cause I have heard Florida springs are right now infected with immense amounts of algae, but we have many more issues like missing of isolation valves to the buildings, etc that may be affecting the performance. We just want to approach the problem is all different possible deficiencies.
