I've just upgraded to a 2 pump QT. I've had to top up about a few gallons already since yesterday. I did purge one loop at a time using the QT per instructions. I don't remember having to add so much water the last time. Maybe there's still lots of air. The water level doesn't change when the unit is off.

Why did you need a 2 pump unit? Give us a little more background on the system.

    1. To meet the manufacturer's requirement for 9gpm, was 6 before. I have 2100 ft of pipe total. Too much head loss.
    2. I'm building a garage so I'm going to reuse the 1 pump for a 1.5 ton geo
I think it's settling now. I think what's happening is once I got the larger pumps, it pushed out more air. All this time it was 3-4 gallons low. Still topping up but not as much.
