I used this forum as a dynamic resource and a self education tool, as I installed a ClimateMaster 2ton with 300' verticle borehole. The unit has been on line for 14 months. It has performed without issue for the entire time. We heated with a dual fuel unit for the previous 15 years. Our electric bill did not increase during the past winter, and dropped 25 to 65 dollars a month during cooling season. Our biggest plus was no propane purchase. There was a change in the pitch of the loop pump when the unit went to cooling. After the heat season started, the original pitch returned. The unit is so quiet. The house seldom varies more than a single degree during unit operation. It is reassuring to know there a competent group ready to help. Thanks, Steve
Thanks for posting. Did I understand you to say that your propane bill went away and your power bill did not go up?
We had a field test unit from Heil-Quaker I built in the lab, when I worked there. It was a dual fuel. The propane was used under 29 deg.F. The old unit was probably a 10 or 12 SEER when new. The T-27 Climatemaster seems efficient enough to cover the extra run time. The EH may have only come on two or three times last year. Steve
