Bob Ingersoll Named IGSHPA Director
The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association, an outreach unit of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University, is pleased to announce Bob Ingersoll as its new director. Ingersoll brings more than three decades of engineering and management experience to IGSHPA, most recently having served as the director of business operations in CEAT for eight years as well as the IGSHPA treasurer. Ingersoll will begin his new position on March 10, 2014.
“We are very fortunate to have Bob as our new director at IGSHPA,” Ed Kirtley, assistant dean of outreach and extension for CEAT said. “Bob’s engineering experience in industry, combined with his experience working within the University, uniquely qualifies him for this critical leadership position. I’m confident he will successfully carry on the legacy left when Dr. Bose retired last year.”
Ingersoll will lead the organization in its mission to promote the use of ground source heat pump technology worldwide through education and communication.
“We will develop a close working relationship with our Industrial Advisory Council to continually improve the quality and efficiency of our products and services to the industry,” Ingersoll said. “We will work from within to become a valued asset of the OSU Outreach Community.”
Ingersoll worked for the Monsanto Company for 19 years in engineering and management roles and 11 years for Solutia Inc., as the information technology/process control manager.
Ingersoll has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from OSU. He lives in Stillwater, Okla., with his wife Charlotte.
