I have a source of spring water very close to my house, but it is only 5 degrees celsius in the winter. With a flow of 40 litres per minute, can I use this to provide heat for a 1000 sq. ft. house that is relatively efficient?

Both your temperature and flows are close enough I would consider it.
You may want to have temperature limit switches that shutoff items before freezing damage and/or an interior heat exchanger allowing you to run antifreeze on the equipment side. Also, your discharge will need to be carefully sorted out, as it will be close to freezing. |
