Using an installer who isn't IGSHPA certified

Hello. I'm a home owner thinking about installing geothermal. There's a company in my area that specializes in geo but they are not IGSHPA certified. They are a Waterfurnace Geo pro master dealer though. Should I avoid a company that isn't certified? Obviously if they are geo pro master dealer they install a lot of systems. I just not sure why you wouldn't get certified if it's your specialty. I called them and they said their well driller is certified in well drilling.

    Thanks

    Greg

If they area master dealer for waterfurnace they should have a lot installs under their belts. I would not be concerned at all. I am more concerned about the people who get IGSPA certified and have never done an install...

Why settle for 90% when you can have 400%

IGSHPA certification is voluntary and no indication of a talented installer. It does show a commitment of the individual to demonstrate a level training and little else.

I am no more impressed with the waterfurnace certification as it has not prevented poor workmanship in some cases.

I am most impressed with good references.
