Dynamic Air Cleaner

Hello,

We were going to have a dynamic air cleaner installed but my service company warned me that we might have a problem with the filters getting clogged too soon because we have an old WaterFurnace 3.5 Ton ATV. He assured me that it would not damage the system but might cause the system to turn off due to the air flow sensor.

Does anyone have any experience or advise with these units and the dynamic air cleaners?

I really appreciate any help you can give me. I don't want to make the investment if it could cause problems.

Aggressive, overly restrictive air filters don't combine well with whole house forced air HVAC systems.

I've never heard of "dynamic air cleaner"

There are any number of highly questionable devices and gizmos out there being hawked as good add-on devices to HVAC systems

Your service company is justifiably skeptical

Have installer of air cleaner assure you that if properly maintained the filter will not take you out of the static pressures spec'd by WF.

We have used them for years. They are or were considered a medical device in CA. I have seen them remove environmental tobacco smoke from the air,

One could back up planned maintenance with a static pressure measuring device.

WF has them available re-branded.
