LoopMaster
LoopMaster International has the experience in designing large geothermal earth loops. Since each loop design is somewhat unique, the experts at LoopMaster work hand-in-hand with the project engineer to design the most cost effective loop to meet the performance requirements of the job.
Loop design and sizing is critical to ensure proper performance. An undersized loop will operate with high temperatures in cooling and low temperatures in heating. These extreme temperatures adversely affect both efficiency and output of the geothermal heat pumps, increasing operating costs. An oversized loop can add considerable and unnecessary expense to the project without providing any operational benefit. The key is to design the most cost effective loop that will operate at temperatures that maximize efficiency and output, and meet the entire heating and cooling requirements during extreme conditions—without being oversized. There are currently several software programs available to assist the designer in proper loop sizing.
In addition to design assistance, LoopMaster can provide services to determine thermal conductivity of the local soil or subsurface rock. Using sophisticated technology that measures the amount and rates of heat movement, thermal conductivity is determined to optimize the design of the loop field to meet the local conditions before the first shovel of earth is turned.
Years of experience in design assistance by the staff at LoopMaster will prove to be a valuable service to maximize performance of the system and to ensure the designer or engineer that the system will operate effectively for many years.
