Since then we have completed dozens of projects for military bases, schools, housing projects, hotels and private industry.

Richard Simmons Drilling Co., Inc., operating since 1969, has extensive experience in monitoring, extraction, piezometer, pressure relief and stabilization wells, test and exploration wells, angle drilling, large diameter rock holes augering, coring, grouting (both tremie and internal pressure), packer/pump testing (straddle and single), hydrofracturing, water wells, blast hole, geothermal drilling and barge drilling.

We have dependable, professional crews stationed throughout the southeast that can be quickly dispatched. Our principal facilities are located in Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. These convenient locations allow for quick response, shorter mobilizations of drilling crews and cost savings for our clients.

Richard Simmons Drilling Co., Inc., currently owns and operates 27 drilling rigs and GeoProbe units. The assortment of this equipment enables Richard Simmons Drilling Co., Inc. to provide a full range of drilling services to the industry. A specially outfitted truck supports each drill. All equipment is optimally maintained by each facility's full time mechanic and back-up equipment is ready for extreme cases.

Our fully trained and experienced technicians have a total of more than 253 years in the drilling industry, averaging 19.3 years of drilling experience.
